We'll be rocking the blues out of the bluesrock at bluesrock-cafe De Club in Beverwijk, the 12th of december, thanks to our Cellphyll mates. 'When I woke up this morning...'

We've recorded about 3 tunes now. Almost enough to entice some venues to host some Minomatic gigs. Next year we'll try to top our TWO gigs this year.

Noah bought himself a new guitar, an ex-De Vogels Peavey T-60, early 80's. As you can see it has a striking resemblance to the T-40 bass, to say the least. And it sounds 'uitmuntend'.

We played at De Bliksem and it was great (and loud), nice and enthousiastic people.

But we're very selective when it comes to selecting our idols. That's why we've now introduced a RECOMMENDED SHOWS-list on our own 'gigs'page! See if there's something in there for you. Good chance you'll meet your Minoheroes there, sleeping in a corner somewhere.

Why mention other peoples' shows and not our own? 'Cause we ain't got none planned.

Judgement day. Bring out the exclamation marks! Minomatic will perform with big brotherband Soda P at De Bakkerij on the 15th of april! This means possibly the biggest crowd so far, and definately the most important performance so far. We don't care much for Paradiso's, Vera's or Winstons. No, what's important, I finally get to use Soda P Alderts bass gear!

Our gig on the 15th will not be with Hot Zex from Siberia, but with Headmode, from the Netherlands. Shame I had to find out by reading it off a poster, whereon a figure was presented, farting music out of his ass, according to the programmer 'to atract attention'...

Let's team up.

We just joined a list of bands that are willing to participate in a project by Race to Galamax and The Open. Among the bands that went before us are Wave Zero and Inspired. The goal of this project called 'Smashing Dice' is to offer as much different genres as possible, preferably at the same night, which, I think, is a daring approach to getting gigs. It will be interesting to see their Vyvians and our Neils together in the crowd.

Praising We vs. Death for making great music has had a similar effect. Well, we do enjoy their music of course. But they offered us a chance to join http://simuze.nl, which is a way to distribute your music in the way that you seem fit. In other words, if we were to put our songs on there, we would be able to decide who and how many people could have access to them. This would also mean more gigs with similar-minded bands (unlike the Smashing Dice-deal), like the Zabel-gig on the Stubnitz, for example. This would also mean having to record some songs, like, properly.

I will now add some Stubnitz photo's.

The gig on the 14th of october has, as far as I understand, been given the go-ahead.

Good evening everyone. Nothing much going on right now. The boys are back from LowLands. Derk has a new PC. The band is getting compliments from unsuspected sources lately, which is nice. I'm asked to play bass and BeatBox for DMP Atticproductions, really looking forward to that. Still no confirmation of our supposed gig on the 14th of october from de Bakkerij. By the way, that's one day before K-Oz Collective plays at the same venue!

Let's talk gear.

I called Piet Visser from Egmond-aan-Zee, a guitar repairman. Next week I can bring him my Vester Stage Series Bass (a Fender Precision Bass copy), and he will try to make an ending to the electric niggels that haunt it. This text-box is too small to list the things wrong with it. Hopefully it will return to me, sounding as clear and being as reliable as it was built to be, more than 14 years ago.

We went to see 'Last Resort', a local punk-band. It made us all feel like accomplished musicians, but on the other hand, while they were shouting 'Satan', with their mothers proudly watching, I thought 'what makes us any better than them?'.

Best not to think about being better. Worse, maybe. But we're on the right track.

It had also been rumoured that Minomatic will be playing at De Bakkerij in Castricum, sometime around early october. With Inspired and Mindfold.

This means another double-gig for Noah, he should start working out!

This also means a new goal to strife for. It would be nice to have completed two new beats to impress our local audience.

The date is set to be around the 24th of August, keep you posted... their site confirms it though. Zabel-bands only, so I won't bother trying to book us in. Maybe I should, though.

Why don't we sing? We want people to appreciate the product we deliver as a group. Who do you look at when a rock&roll band is playing? Right, the singer. Hm, wait a minute... that could be a good thing, in our case.

Just finished uploading some more pictures.

Concerning the music; after going to a Karate/ Audiotransparant gig we've been heading into a new realm of jazz. We're putting together the pieces to make some new songs. Trying to fit the vocals in seems a challenge.

As far as we're concerned, there won't be any gigs before at least two new beats have been completed; this is because the most likely place we'll be playing is De Bakkerij, again, so we can't play the same old songs to them again.

But hopefully the gigging will start again shortly.
